Referring to your letter dated the 20th October 1893

I have the honour to report, for the information of the

Secretary of State, that in accordance with a telegram dated

the 23rd instant which we received from the Governor of

Hong Kong, we drew on the Colonial Treasurer under date or

24th instant on demand for $200,000 realizing at the

exchange of 272 per the sun of £22,277-14-3.
